Description

Morning in Italy: The Medieval Charm of Dolceacqua

Your adventure begins in the Ligurian hinterland, in Dolceacqua. This picture-postcard village, celebrated by Monet, is dominated by the Doria Castle and spanned by the iconic humpbacked "Ponte Vecchio" (Old Bridge), a masterpiece of medieval architecture. Wander through the labyrinth of shaded lanes ("carrugi") in the medieval quarter, "Terra". Soak up the authentic atmosphere and taste the famous Rossese di Dolceacqua, a fruity red wine, or buy some local olive oil. Enjoy a coffee on the small piazza before hitting the road again

Lunch & Discovery in France: Menton, the Pearl of France

Next, head to France and the French Riviera! In about twenty minutes, you'll arrive in Menton, famous for its mild climate and gardens. Have lunch in the Old Port or in the old town with its ochre and yellow facades: opt for specialties like barbajuans (herb-filled fried pastries) or a Menton salad. After your meal, a stroll through the shopping streets and a stop at the Saint-Michel Basilica complete this French interlude.

Afternoon in Monaco: Glamour and Panoramas

Just a few kilometers further, enter the Principality of Monaco. Park near the Rock to explore Monaco-Ville, the "old town". Admire the Royal Palace and visit the Cathedral. Follow the paths of the Saint-Martin Gardens for spectacular views. In the late afternoon, head to Monte-Carlo: admire the opulence of the Hôtel de Paris, the architecture of the Opéra, and try your luck at the Casino (smart casual attire required).

Why This Tour is Unique:

This tri-national day is a sensory journey through history, nature, and luxury. It offers a striking contrast between the rustic tranquility of an Italian village, the flowery elegance of a French town, and the glamour of a world-famous principality. A unique experience, where each country reveals its own identity, all bathed in the incomparable light of the Mediterranean.
