Description

A day designed as a sensory and historical journey, traversing the golden age of the French Riviera, from the extravagance of Belle Époque palaces to the secular power of a legendary principality.

Morning: Dreams and Perfume on the Corniche

Our private vehicle will pick you up at your hotel in Nice. The day begins with the sublime Corniche road, offering breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea. Our first stop is a gem of Cap Ferrat.

1. Private tour of the Villa and Gardens of Ephrussi de Rothschild

  • Immersion in a Pink Palace: Perched on the narrow isthmus of Cap Ferrat, this villa is the embodiment of Baroness Béatrice de Rothschild's extravagant dream.

  • A Treasure Trove of Art: Inside, discover her refined collection: 18th-century furniture, Gobelins tapestries, Sèvres porcelain, and works by masters such as Fragonard. Each room tells the story of the erudition and impeccable taste of a passionate woman.

  • The Nine Gardens: Take a stroll through what is considered his “total work of art.” A symphony of colors and scents, the themed gardens (Spanish, Florentine, Japanese, exotic, etc.) are arranged around a temple of love, with a panoramic view of Villefranche Bay and Beaulieu as a backdrop. A true botanical world tour.

2. The Art of Fragrance at Parfumerie Gallimard in Eze

  • Head for the medieval village of Èze, perched like an eagle's nest overlooking the sea.

  • Guided Tour of the Workshops: Immerse yourself in the secrets of French perfumery. A guide will introduce you to the history of aromas, the cultivation of perfume flowers (May rose, Grasse jasmine) and the ancestral techniques of cold enfleurage and distillation.

  • The Education of the Nose: Test your sense of smell by discovering top, middle, and base notes. It is a unique experience where the most delicate craftsmanship meets science.

Lunch: Gourmet Break

Lunch in a restaurant selected for its local cuisine and exceptional views, either in old Èze or in Monaco itself.

Afternoon: History and Sovereignty in Monaco

The afternoon is dedicated to exploring the Principality of Monaco, a surprising blend of centuries-old traditions and bold modernity.

3. The Rock and the Prince's Palace: Immerse yourself in the history of the Grimaldi

  • Ceremonial Approach: Access the Rock, the historic heart of the principality. We walk through picturesque alleys and lively squares to reach the Palace Square.

  • Views and Tradition: From the terraces of the Palace, admire the Monaco harbor and the port.

End of the Day: Monte Carlo and Return

  • Pass by the must-see sights: the Casino de Monte-Carlo, symbol of the Belle Époque, the Hôtel de Paris and its vintage cars.

  • Free time for a coffee break at the Place du Casino.

  • Relaxed return to your hotel in Nice in the early evening, imbued with the scents, art, and history of this exceptional day.
