Itinerary for an unforgettable day

Departure from Nice
Your day begins with pick-up at your hotel in Nice. You board a comfortable vehicle and head inland towards Provence, passing through rolling hills and hilltop villages.

Morning: Verdon Gorge & Castellane

  • Arrival at the Verdon Gorge, the “Grand Canyon of Europe.” A photo stop is planned at Point Sublime to admire the immensity of the gorge with its turquoise waters.

  • Continue to Castellane, a medieval village dominated by its impressive rock formation. Free time to stroll around and discover local crafts.

Lunch in Moustiers-Sainte-Marie

  • Arrival in Moustiers, ranked among “the most beautiful villages in France.” Lunch in a typical restaurant offering Provençal cuisine.

  • After lunch, free time to visit the village, famous for its pottery and Notre-Dame-de-Beauvoir chapel, accessible via a staircase carved into the rock.

Afternoon: Valensole Plateau and its lavender fields (mid-June to mid-July)

  • Head to the Valensole plateau, a veritable sea of lavender in summer. There will be multiple photo stops in the fields stretching as far as the eye can see, where the intense purple of the lavender contrasts with the blue of the sky.

  • Depending on the season, you can also see fields of golden wheat and almond trees.

Return to Nice
The return journey takes a different route, offering new views of the Alpes de Haute-Provence, with arrival in Nice scheduled for early evening.
